Hi my name is Adrian Farhat. I am an entrepreneur and systems thinker focused on the intersection of the built environment, technology, and community development. Using my background in landscape architecture, I am interested in how architecture, engineering, construction, and cities function as an interconnected "system of systems."
My passion is understanding how data, geospatial and modeling applications, operational technologies, and emerging technologies can be better connected through interoperability and shared standards. My long-term goals lie across making technologies and frameworks spanning spatial intelligence, digital twins, and data modeling to help the whole of the built environment lifecycle better work together. The goal is to create better design that trickles down to allow for better operations and infrastructure management. As most firms and cities operate in departmental data siloes and incompatible software, I see AI playing an important role in reasoning not only the next "move" but understanding how one decision can trickle down and impact decisions based on current state and future need projections.
I am not only exploring how these different environments are managed but the balance between connectivity and privacy to protect sensitive personal and business information and maintain public trust, always keeping the people at the heart of design and decisions.
